Refund & Cancellation Policy

Clear rules for recurring treatment cancellations, automatic renewals, and refund eligibility.

Last updated September 22, 2026

Overview

This Policy explains when you may cancel recurring treatment and when payments may qualify for a refund. Clinical appropriateness and prescription decisions remain with the independent licensed healthcare professional.

Cancellation

Patients enrolled in recurring treatment may cancel at any time by emailing support@optimizemd.co.

Cancellation prevents the next scheduled renewal. It does not retroactively cancel or refund the current paid treatment period. Services already paid for may continue through the applicable paid period, subject to clinician determination and medical appropriateness.

Automatic Renewal

Recurring programs automatically bill at the amount and interval disclosed before enrollment until canceled. By enrolling, you authorize recurring charges at that disclosed amount and frequency. To prevent a future renewal, cancel before that renewal is processed.

Full Refund Before Services Begin

An applicable purchase is eligible for a full refund if you cancel before all three of the following events:

  • The clinician consultation has occurred.
  • Laboratory work or a laboratory kit has been ordered or completed.
  • A prescription has been sent to the pharmacy.

Approved refunds are generally processed within 7–10 business days.

When a Patient Is Medically Ineligible

If the independent healthcare professional determines that you are not medically eligible for the requested medication or treatment:

  • The medication portion of the applicable payment will be refunded.
  • Completed consultation fees are not refundable.
  • Completed laboratory work is not refundable.
  • Laboratory kit costs already ordered or incurred are not refundable, where applicable.

Prescription Sent to a Pharmacy

Once a prescription has been transmitted to a pharmacy, the medication portion is non-refundable. This applies even if the medication has not yet been filled or shipped because pharmacy preparation, fulfillment processes, and medication-specific restrictions may begin when the prescription is received.

Prescription medication that has been dispensed or shipped is non-refundable. Do not return prescription medication unless the dispensing pharmacy specifically authorizes it.

Laboratory Services

Completed laboratory work is non-refundable. Laboratory kits or services that have already been ordered, shipped, used, processed, or otherwise incurred are non-refundable. If you cancel before any lab service or kit is ordered or incurred, the pre-service refund rule above applies.

Consultations

Completed clinician consultations are non-refundable. Consultation decisions and care are provided by independent licensed healthcare professionals.

Refund Timing

Approved refunds are generally processed within 7–10 business days. Your financial institution may require additional time before a credit appears; OptimizeMD cannot guarantee a bank’s processing time.
